After the immense success of 1st HR Leadership Retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand and three HR Boot Camps in 2012, 2013 and 2014 PSHRM is pleased to announce the 2nd HR Leadership Confluence in Turkey.

The Challenges

In an ever-changing world where boundaries are becoming increasingly blurred and interconnectedness is increasing exposure and opportunities, HR Leaders must continue to evolve and rethink the way they attract, engage and manage people. It is increasingly crucial for HR to be at the core of the business, understanding key business challenges and developing innovative and workable solutions in real time with agility and speed. In order to do so, HR leaders must broaden their horizons and equip themselves with the necessary tools for change.

The Opportunity

This 2nd HR Leadership Confluence will bring together the top HR minds from Pakistan’s leading companies in an international setting to explore holistic solutions to the challenges that the new world of work presents. This unique learning experience will include a blend of renowned international facilitators, peer-to-peer learning and community building. This will be framed by an overall program that will allow the participants to use mindfulness and introspection to deeply connect to themselves to bring their best self forward.

Destination

Antalya and Istanbul, Turkey

Antalya – This learning experience will partially take place in Antalya, Turkey. A gateway to its southern Mediterranean region, Antalya is known as the Turquoise Coast for its serene blue waters. Rich in natural beauty and in historical significance, the region is also home to Mount Olympos which is the home of the Greek legend of the Chimera.

Istanbul – The program will include a journey to majestic Istanbul, the city that have served as the Capital of the Byzantine, the Roman and the Ottoman empires. Straddling Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul is a city that is rich with cultural and historical influences of the many empires that once ruled here.

In these captivating and adventurous settings, our HR Leadership Journey promises to provide an exciting and unforgettable experience. The program is a skillful blend of the functional HR and the art of authentic leadership, needed to meet the unique demands of the 21st century and build a high performance HR culture.

Program Director:

Kanwer A. Saeed

Kanwer is a dreamer, an authentic leader, an inspirational coach and one of a kind facilitator. Currently a Managing Partner at Ascend Development, he has over two decades of experience in shaping up ‘people’ strategies to tackle unique and dynamic challenges at leading companies. Prior to founding Ascend Development, Kanwer has headed Human Resources for Engro Foods & Engro Fertilizer and previously he was with Unilever Singapore in the capacity of Talent Director for Asian Geography.

Kanwer utilizes his unique leadership style to bring out the best in people and in organizations. It is his personal mission to make a difference in the lives of others by empowering them to grow professionally and emotionally through first coming to terms with themselves.

He is deeply passionate about helping the HR profession and fraternity grow in Pakistan, and is currently the VP of PSHRM and a Board Member at PSTD.

Program Development:

Rubina Jamal

Rubina has been working as a Management Consultant for over 17 years in Pakistan, Philippines and the UAE. She has a Masters degree in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Organizational Psychology. Her area of expertise is cultural change and organizational development along with a series of soft-skill trainings. Rubina easily connects with participants and is able to bring about a deep rooted change in attitude. With a keen sense of humor she is easily able to keep her audience engaged. Her philosophy is to take oneself lightly and one’s purpose seriously. She has also been involved in the design and execution of all previous PSHRM Boot Camps.

Iman Masud Omar:

A clear thinker with a knack for rapidly analyzing situations, identifying opportunities and working with diverse groups to develop innovative and targeted solutions, Iman M Omar is an internationally Certified Senior HR Professional (SPHR, HRCI (USA); SHRM-SCP (USA); CHRP, HRPA (Canada)). She has more than 8 years of international experience as an HR and Organizational Development specialist. Her areas of expertise include Organizational Development Interventions and design and implementation of HR systems and processes. Iman takes a keen interest in appreciative inquiry, authentic leadership and the practice of mindfulness.

Guest Facilitators:

Burcu Yularci

After 13 years of Human Resources Management experience in large global companies such as Visa, Media-Saturn and A S Watson group, Burcu Yularci has been leading her own Human Resource Consultancy since 2012. Her focus is on HR Systems, Training, Executive and Team Coaching.

She works with a group of professionals with reputable backgrounds, as solution partners offering a wide range of services related to Human Resources and Organizational Development such as Leadership, Personal and Skill Development Trainings, Coaching, Performance Management and Talent Development Systems design, Competency Mapping and Assessment & Development Center design and implementation.

Romans Holomjovs

Romans Holomjovs is the Founder and Managing Director of Progressica Ltd. He is currently an associate member in American Psychological Association (APA), Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists (SIOP) and Beta Gamma Sigma Society (BGS)

His education includes Bachelor in BA, MSc in I/O Psychology from City University of New York. He is certified in executive coaching and in using various psychometrical tests.

Prior setting up the company Romans Holomjovs had over 13 year fast track and diverse international career with a large multinational company holding various general management positions in Asia, Russia and Europe. His expertise is in key business processes and practices, organizational design and development, talent and leadership programs, assessments and executive development/coaching.
