The Pakistan Society of Human Resource Management (PSHRM) launched its North Chapter at the Connex 2017 on Tuesday, 18 April 2017 at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore.
PSHRM is an independent, nonprofit and nongovernmental institution, managed by honorary Boards of Governors Comprising of senior executives and human resources professionals from leading organizations in Pakistan.
Pakistan Society for Human Resource Management is committed to providing leadership in HR excellence. It is the professional association for HR practitioners and those involved in the business of people management. PSHRM offers professional learning and community building opportunities to its members and others in the HR profession by conducting workshops, seminars by prominent speakers and experiential learning programs for HR professionals. PSHRM is a full member of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM), a branch of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA).
Dr. Musaddik Malik inaugurated the chapter in the presence of the current Executive Committee as well as the representatives of the Lahore Advisory and Working Committees.
The Advisory Committee thus far comprises of Mr. Bakhtiar Khawaja, Mr. Ali A Aga, Mr. Wasif Waseem Ashraf, Mr. Nayyab Baig and Mr. Hassan Adnan. The working committee will comprise of Chapter Lead – Ms. Zainab Khan as the Chapter Lead, Ms. Syma Waleed, as the Treasury Chair, Ms. Iman Omar as the Capability Building Lead and Ms. Nariman Qureshi as the Membership and Youth Development Lead.
The Chapter will focus on Education – Affiliations, Certifications, People Management and Organization Development, Career Counseling– Youth and Young Professionals, Knowledge Bank – Library services, Vendor directory listings and Consultancy – Research & Policy Development.
